The "Evening Standard" understands from Germany that the Prussians have, ; the intention of bringing lip Ho Hhe siege of Paris ,the great IQOO .pounder Krupp gun, intended to'throw a solid shot of 1212 lbs., or a shell of 1080 lbs., which many persons will in the Paris of 1867. The reason given is the weight of .the guu, which is equal, including the carriage, to 65 tons, and this would,;bo ton great a-
'trial for the temporary bridges and pontoons that would Have to'be passed ; but the real reason probably is the untrustworthiness of the monster, which cost £15,750 sterling, occupied sixteen months in construction, and . has never, we believe,"bcen fired.
