ACQUITTAL OF THE CHARLESTON PRISONERS.
FIRE IN BRIDGE STREET. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.) (FROM OUR OTO CORRESPONDENT.) Nelson, Friday. Curtayne, O'Connor, and Culhane, charged with resisting the police at Charleston, were found Not Guilty. The jury also returned a verdict of Not Gruilty in the case of Curtayne Morris, and Woolf, charged with bein<,' accessary to the blowiug up of the machinery of the Southern Cross Gold Mining Company. A fire took place in Bridge street last night. The property destroyed consists of a brick house, belonging to Timothy Shea. The building was gutted ; estimated loss £3OO.
