WESTPORT WARDEN'S COURT

Friday, August 5. (Before C. Br.nid, Esq., Warden.) Laurence Larsen v. Philip Cohen. Claim for £23 19s 6d, being defendant's share of "tucker." Mr Pitt appeared for the defendant, who pleaded not indebted. Plaintiff stated that he bad supplied one James Nichols, and the latter sold out to Cohen. Nichols owed £23 19 s 6d before Cohen bought in. Cohen promised to pay plaintiff half his dividends until Nichols's debt was liquidated. Plaintiff had no document to prove the defendant's liability.

His Worship nonsuited the plaintiff, but refused counsel's application for costs. Sixteen applications for water-rights, darns, Ac, were disposed of.
