NELSON PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.
WANT OP CONFIDENCE IN EXECUTIVE. AREIVAL OF THE CITY OF MELBOURNE. (57 ELEOTBIC TELEGBAPR.) (from our own correspondent.) Nelson, Friday. Mr Luckie gave notice yesterday in the Council of the following motion for Tuesday next:—"That the Government of this Province, as at present constituted, does not possess the confidence of the Council." Carrington, a supporter of the Ministry, has been returned for Omata, Taranaki. The Wonga Wonga has not yet arrived at Auckland, but hourly expected. The City of Melbourne brought 122 passengers for the San Francisco route, and was to leave Auckland on Wednesday last. The Governor and Native Minister had a satisfactory Korero with Native Chiefs at Whangaroa, the natives are anxious for a town there.
