THE ALARM OF FIRE.

(To the Editor of the Westport Times.) Sib, —I wish to state that my chimney did not catch fire through any neglect on my part, and could not have done any harm, as the flue does not touch the building, and could have been pulled down if there had been any danger. I wish to thank those gentlemen who came to see if they could be of any assistance, and to thank those who should have been so eager to go and lay information about it before they came to see if there had been any danger or neglect.—l am, sir, yours &c, J. Sheldon. Westport.
