THE PRINCE'S VISIT TO OTAGO

The following are some further par* ticulars of Prince Alfred's visit tfl Otago : When H.M.S. Blanche reachefl Port Chalmers a thick fog along t™ coast caused a long passage. ticultural Society. His Royal Highness then returned to Fern House, and afterwards embarked. The Prince expressed himself much pleased with his reception in Otago. He said the Otago Volunteers were the most efficient body he had seen since he left England.
