A Mr Clark advertises in the London papers two new preparations for the prevention and cure of nearly every ill that horse-flesh is heir to, under the euphonious titles of " JSTeurasthenipponsklestorizo " and Hopelemuroma." In the town of S there was a shoemaker who at the time officiated as preacher. He always wrote the notices himself in order to save the expenses of printing. Here is one of them: " There will he preaching in the pine this Sunday afternoon on the subject, All who do not believe will be damned at three o'clock." A young lady who teaches music in an academy in Western New York sent an order to a publisher recently, in which she had spelt the words very badly. She apologised by adding a postcript as follows :—"You must exkews this letter, as I pkri bi noat butt spel bi ear."
