The Hon. Secretary begs to acknowledge receipt of the sum of £2 from Mr William Hardy, Addison's Flat, iu aid of the Westport District Hospital. " Miner's " letter on the subject of the Hospital will be inserted to-mor-row.
A Westport case—a demurrer in which the parties are Porter, Tasker, and others, v. Keramo, Jervis, and others—occupied the Supreme Court, Nelson, for a long time on Friday last. The decision of the Court was postponed.
Messrs jNath. Edwards, Barnicoat, Luckie, and Shephard, are mentioned as candidates for the representation of Nelson, in place of Mr Stafford. A correspondent of the Nelson Mail suggests that a subscription should be raised for Mr Apted, the plaintiff in the case of Apted v. Kynnersley.
