CmusTCiiimcit. —Tiie "Press," of the 16th hist, reports as follows :—" The sales of wheat which have been made during the past week show an advance. Wo now cptote fair milling samples at 5s 3d, and best at 5s Gd per bushel —at the lower quotations buyers arc willing to operate to a large extent. Flour remains •it our last week's prices. For oats the demand is variable, but prices are stationary at Is 'Jd for Tartarian and 2s for short oats. Barley has met with rather better inquiry for malting purposes, and also for shipment, but pric33 are the same as last week's—viz., 3s - 9d to 4s. Peas are hardly quoted, 4s being the current price asked by growers. Beans are also iu slight inquiry at ss. For potatoes the demand is rather better than during the previous week, although prices still remain at £4 to £& 10s per ton. " The quotations for hay are unaltered.
