| THE VENEZUELAN DISPUTE. Received December 19,7,30 p.m. London, December 18. A Daily News correspondent says it is reported that the President's Message regarding Venezuela is merely a political manoeuvre to secure the success of the Democratic Party in the next Presidential campaign. The London and Manchester markets are flat, and American securities have fallen. Received December 25,1,10 a.m. Washington, Decembor 19. The House of Representatives amid cheering, unanimously voted one hundred thousand dollars for the expenses of the Venezuelan Commission without debato.
The chief American jurists do not defend President Cleveland's reading of the Monroe doctrine. Senator Chandlor has tabled a Bill to expend 100,000,000 dollars on armaments.
The measuro has been referred to the Military Committee.
