WAIRARAPA NORTH COUNTY COUNCIL.

MONTHLY MEETING. Tho ordinary meeting of the above Council, was held yesterday. Presenters. Von lieden, Mnunscll, Stuckey, Groves, Guild, Smith, Beetham, and Cockburn-Hood. The minutes of last meeting were confirmed. The application of Mr Simpson, for an auctioneer's license, was granted subject to the usual conditions. Mr F. W. Groves wa« appointed poundkeeper at To If ui. The application of several settlers, lo allow the ranger to impound stock found on the roads, right through from Ekctnhumi lo All'rcdton, was granted. liesolvcd io ask the Government lo put tho Mt Baker Itoad in order before minding it oyer to tho County Council. Mr D. C. Mncquaric was requested lo give the Council particulars of the expenditure nn Burton's Lino. The Fiuanco and Engineer's reporli were adopted. The Engineer was instructed to improve tho grade at Cosgriff's Hill, and metal as soon as the weather permits.
