An exceptionally sad bathing accident occurred in tho County, towards midday, to-day; resulting in the death by drowning, of two young ladies wellknown and highly respected in this district.

The fatality occurred at Bushmere, at the back of Mr li. Shcrratt's residence, close to which runs the Wnipoka liivcr, and it was in a dee]) pool of this river, that the two young ladies, Miss Palethorpe and Miss Norris, lost their lives,
