James Dalgitty, aged 21, whilst attempting to ford the Taueru River, at Te Wliiti, yesterday morning, was drowned, it is feared, as his horse, with tho saddle and bridle on, was found on the bank. Search parties woro out yesterday and today, but the search has been fruitless, so far. Dalgitty belongs to Carterton, and had started for a job at rabbitting on Glonsido stations He stayed at Wilton's (his in-law) at Te Ore Ore, on Sunday' and started on horse-back at 6 a.m. yesterday.
