Considerable discussion ensued, after which Mr Hornblpw mqvecl that tho sum of £SO be paid noxt year, to bo expended in books an<} periodicals only. The motion was carried. FIItB BRIGADE. Tho sum of £5 was voted as asked, towards the Wairarapa Firo Brigades Demonstration. BEI'AIBS. A committee consisting of tho whole Trust was appointed to remL on certain repairs needed to TruaPj property. Mr Geo, K. Bond reported that the work of re-instating the cottages in Queon-street was proceeding favorably, Tho Chairman and Mr Hornblow was empowered to expend a sum not exceeding £lO in 'improving tho frontages to tho cottages neit the Royal Hotel.
