FATAL ACCIDENT.
MAN KILLED AT MR. DANIELL'S SAWMILL.
A sad fatality occurred at Mr Daiiiell'a sawmill at Weniiti this morning, by which a man named Arthur Tyler met an untimely end. It appears ho was assisting in cross-cutting a log, whon the timber slipped and rolled over him, striking the nnfoitunate man in the forehead. Those who saw the accident thought the man lmd merely been stunned, but immediate examination proved life to be extinct. Deceased, who was about 32 years of age, was a quiet, respectable working man, who bad resided iu Masterton for a number of years, Ho leaves a wife, but no children living, having been married about four years ago. Tyler had been out of work for some months, and had only started for Mr Danicll about a week ago. Mr C, E, Daniell and Constable May, left for tho mill n's soon as the news reached Masterton.
