WAIRARAPA NORTH COUNTY COUNCIL.

ANNUAL MEETING. Tlio annual statutory meeting of tin Wairarapa North County Council wa; held in the Council Chambers, Master ton, at noon to-day, Mr F. G. Moori presiding. Present—Crs Jas. Stuckoy It. Maunscll, J. S. Handyside, C. E Cockbusn-Hood, F. Von Ecden, El Smith, J.Groycs, and D. Guild. Cr Von Eedcn was re-elected Chair, man for tho ensuing year. On takinj the chair he said the position of th< Council was a thoroughly sound one, and thanked them for re-election. On tho motion of Cr Smith it was re. solved that the whole of the Council be a Works and Finance Commmittcc, throo to form a quorum. Cr Beetham was re-elected to represent the Council on the United District Charitable Aid Board, Crs Beetham, Stuokey and CockburnHood wero elected members of tho District Hospital Board; Crs Beetham and Cockburn-Hood and Messrs E, D. Dagg and 11, T. Holmes as members of the WairarapaNorthßencYolentSociety,and Cr Beetham on tho Wellington Benevolent Trust. An unanimous vote of thanks was passed to Messrs E. D. Dagg and E, T. Holmes for their services in representing the Council on the Wairarapa North Benevolent Society. A vote of thanks was passed to the officers of the Council on the motion of Cr Smith seconded by Cr Cockburn* Hood, both Councillors speaking in high and complimentary terms of the officers of the Council's staff. MrF, G. Moore, Clerk, thanked tho Council for its appreciation of the services of the staff. This closed the business of the annual meeting.
