Cycling continues to grow in popularity in the Wairarapa, and new beginners may be seen overy clay making frantic efforts not to " wobble." The wwitlicr lias lately been a trillc unsettled for cycling, but tbe roads generally about Mnstorton are in good order, The use of tbe bicycle for business purposes, by tbo people of Melbourne, is being severely felt by tlio tramway people there. Tlioy recently stationed a man at a certain point, to count the number of cyclists that passed between six and ten o'clock in tlio morning, and the number counted was 560. In August last, at Little Eock, Ark., Judge Wilson dismissed the prosecution against Mrs Noe, who was arrested for appearing on the streets in bloomers, In giving bis opinion, the Judge said:—" Women have a constitutional and God-given right to rido a bicycle, and they are bound to have some comfortable and •appropriate dress, therefore. Wero Mrs Noe a woman with one foot in tbe gravo and tbe other on the pedal; were she of a size that threatened to frighten horses and iinpedo traffic; were bar habiliments of the sort oi'iginully designed by tbe woman whose name tboy- bear, I should be disposed to give her the limit of the law.
