WAIRARAPA NORTH COUNTY COUNCIL
FINANCE MEETING
The finance Committee ot the above Council met yesterday afternoon, Present, Crs Maunsell (chairman), Cockburn-Hooil, K. Smith and Groves,
The minutes of tho last meeting were and confirmed.
Accounts as presented were passed for payment. In considering a question raised by Cr Smith, the Committee decided that it could not see its way to recommend that the revenue be anticipated to clear slips at Alfredton on Saunders' Road.
It was decided to request Crs Stuckey, Beetliam and Guild, and any other Councillor who may find it convenient, to attend an enquiry re the Waipoha ISridgo control, to be held on November 25th, It was resolved to recommend that the thirds from section 15, Block VIII., Mangaone, be paid to the Eketabuna Road Board,
Cr Maunsell was requested to examine the yards belonging to Mrs Owen at Tenui, lo ascertain whether they are suitable fbr a pound, and to report ut next meeting. ! It was resolved that the Council lias no funds available at present for bushfelling ou the Road through section 82 (Kbit Bush Road, AlfredIon) but will take the matter into consideration iu dealing with next year's estimates.
The meeting then adjourned,
