Johns' Lord Salisbury. There is a large entry of Ayrshires, in which class K. B Fergusson, Oamaru, was tho principal prize-taker. The other breeds exhibited are nothing out of the common, In fat cattle, the fact of arrangements having been made by which exhibits may be shipped alive to tho London market induced a largo ontry of prime beef animals, of which thoso shown by G. E. Rhodes and D. Rutherford attracted much attention. There is a representative entry in the milking classes, but the competition will not be decided till to-morrow. In draught horses some fine animals are shown, but a number of classes are poorly represented. Draught mares are by far the best class. J. Shearer, Ashburton, took the first prize and the championship for the mare Flora McDonald.
