Mr Dnthio asked the Premier whether the shareholders of tho Colonial Bank are secure in receiving the ' proposed payment of £183,906, or ', whether uudor any contingency in , liquidation of either "B" or. "C" lists, or of both, or under any other ciroumstauces, any claim could arise ! for a refund as against the sharej holders of the selling Bank. ' Mr Seddon replied" No Sir. No [ claim can arise." \ In reply to Mr Bell, Mr Seddon \ said he would take the dobate on theßankagreement to-morrow afternoon. Mr Seddon movod that the following Bills bo discharged from the order paper; • Beet-root Sugar, Post Office, Fair Rent, Land Drainage, Phylloxera, Representative, Local Government, Noxious Weeds, Public Reserves, - Divorce, Truck Act ■ Amendment, N.Z. Institute of Surveyors, Medical Practitioners Registration, Shipping, Seamen and' Marine Engineers, and Literary Convwright. 1 Objection being (akcu to the striking out of the Divorce Bill, Mr Seddon withdrew the wholo motion.
