TAUERU NEWS.
From Our Oten Correspondent, Tai'eru, Monday. The Quadrille Assembly held their " long night" last Friday to wind up tho season, and scored a decided triumph. The ball was one of the most successful that has been held in tho Tauoru. The floor and music were admirable, and the supper was everything that could be desired. During tho evening Mr Recs sang a song, Mr A. Russell, from Masterton, performed a banjo solo, and Mr Samsongayo astep-dancc. Dancing wis kept up till about 3.30, and all declared themselves well pleased with the last of thu season. The Taueru Orchestra supplied the music in their usual admirablo style. There is some talk of a big pic-nio and dance on the Prince of Wales' birthday at Biancepeth. 1 hear rthero is little doubt of it coming oil if there are not too many holidays beforo band. The Rev. A. C. Yorkc commenced a series of Thursday night" mission sorvices" to a good congregation in the Hall last Thursday.
