FEATHERSTON NEWS.
From Our Own Correspondent, Feithejstoh, Wednesday. On Monday afternoon Mr W. Buokeridgo came to grief w liilo crossing Hunter's Crossing, one of his horses slipped on the rails and came down and was badly cut and knocked about. Mr Buckeridgo was Bitot over a fence and a woman and child knocked down, but none of them were seriously hurt. A deputation waited on the Town Board on Monday evening to lay before them the subject of a new Library and Keadiug-room. After listening to the deputation, the Board promised to support the movement and deal in its power to further the soheme. £2lO has already been promised, so wo ought to bo able to boast of a Library and Beading-room.
