A committee meeting of the Masterton Town Lands Trustees was held yesterday afternoon. Present—Messrs A. Vile (in the chair), A. W. llenall, E, E. Hornblow and J, Hesscy. Mr Geo. K. Bond was instructed to inspect I Mr Casclbcrg's cottages, and to prepare I specifications for putting them in thorough repair, the same to be submitted to the Trustees. A lengthy discussion took place with reference to the proposed Town Hall, it being finally decided that it shall be a brick building capable of seating 800 people; tho main building to be suitable for a theatre or opera-house, with horse-shoe dress
eircle and stage accommodation. The! plans will also provide for two small! meeting rooms, for use when the larger building is not required. Tho above proposals will be submitted to the neit ordinary meeting, when the qucition of a si to will also be discussed.
