From Our Own Comiponimt. Fhatukkston, Monday. < On Saturday eveningthe adjourned ' meeting of the District Rifle Club ■was held. In reply to a deputation « tho forming of a braucli of the Club with a range at Foatherston, it was resolved that in the event of teu new members joining, a range would be granted to Featherston; but thatj the Club would not supply rifles. The Club would grant £7 towards \ putting the range in order and sheds and targets. Mr C. •-•Mnt-Johnaton was elected an honorary membor, and the following officers were elected Captain, J. 0. Bidwill; deputy-captain, W. Benton; hoa. secretary, C. KentJohnston; hon. treasurer, W. Benton; committee, Messrs Feast, Sinclair, ' - Parker, T. Benton, and Jas. Toeker; Auditors, Messrs W. Bock and Jas. Tocker. Tho Chairman reported that the following trophies had been promised Trophy valued at £1 from Mr Evans, Wellington; do valued at £1 from Mr Tisdall, Wellington ; MrKohn, medal; Mr W, E. Bidwill, £5 ; Mr J. 0. Bidwill, Mr C, R. Bithvill, £2; MrC. Phartizyji, £5. It was resolved that 1 trophies already promised shall be fired from the Kaiwaiwai range. The first cricket match took place on Saturday, when Carterton and Featherston tried conclusions, the game resulting a draw, Carterton making 15 and Foatherston 32 not out,
