As the dances liavo beon so enjoyahlo there is certain to ho a ' large attendance, and it is sa'fo to l Sjfeedict a very onjoyublc evening. orye orchestra will provido the music as usual Most things in the Taueru > last but a little while, and are not highly successful; but the orchestra is the one redeeming feature, and liko the brook, " goes on for ever." The Town Hall is to be painted at last, and none too soon by any means. A subscription list is being taken round aud readily subscribed to. It has been felt for a long time that 1 something ought to be done, and it is a good thing stops are being taken at last. The first load of wool passed through from Brancepeth on Friday, and 1 suppose we may now look for a regular procession from there and ( up towards Te Nui till Christmas at > least.
