WAIRARAPA IMPLEMENT AND CARRIAGE WORKS.
Messrs Wallace nnd Masson, formerly of the Masterton Blacksmith and Wheelwright Company, and now proprietors of the Wairarapa, Implement and Carriago Carterton, have made rapid 'jWridos since Inking over this busiV noss, formerly curried on by Messrs Robinson Bros. A largo stall of workmen aronow fully employed by the new firm, both in tho manufacture of new vehicles and farm implements, as well as attending to tho constantly increasing business of repairs.
Being practical workmen, they are in a position to do a large '■> amount of the work, ns well as efliciently supervise their workmen, so that farmers can rely on all orders entrusted to them, being carefully executed. All kinds of farm implements are made on the premises, and tho firm have patented a flexible harrow admirably adapted for work on rough and uneven ground. The '4 harrows in question are highly spoken of by farmers, and although only introduced last season, the demand has considerably exceeded the firm's expectations. On a recent visit, our representative found a nuinbor of vehicles in courso of con-
structiou to the order of settlers, and V .tfk firm is also busily engaged in flushing on other work for exhibit at tho coming Cartorton Show; indeed wo o.\pect their exhibits will be worthy of more than the passing notico of visitors on that occasion. Horse-shoeing is made a speciality; ovory care being taken to do this class of work in a satisfactory! ■» manner.
Messis Wallace & Masson act as the agents for Messrs P. and 1). Duncan, of Christchurch, and a large stock of the firm's implements are kopt on hand. During the last few months several large lines of Messrs Duncans' manufactures have been sold by Mr Wallace, who gave a number of public trials of the southern firm's now spring-tooth cultivator with great success. Tliey are also agents for the well-known Walter A. Wood Harvesting and other machinery, of which goods they keep a stock, besides a largo assort-
niont of duplicates of every kind. f We congratulate Messrs Wallace A Masson on the success which has attended them since starting, and zjAjust that settlers will give them the they deserve.
