WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.
By Telegraph—Own Correspondent. Wellington, Thursday, Tho Laud Board to-day granted titles to C. Carroll, A, Peterson, J. S. George, J. Hall, J. Dick and J. Samuel. Transfers werograntod from Eagle to Randruf; Peterson and Johnson to R. Peterson; Burling to Woolf. Conversions to lease in perpetuity were granted to J. Hauberg, J. Kelly and G. Dunn. An application from monibers of the Wellington Fruit Growers' AsAuciation, for a re-valuation of their Sections was considered. Tho delegate stated that the Secretary of the Association had assured him that the land would not eiceed 35s per acre, and instead of that he had to pay rontalon£4peracre. It was decided to inform the applicants that before the question of revaluation could be entertained, they must surrender thoir sections. In support of an application to transfer a section in tbe Hutt Spoeial Settlement from J. Ross to Constable MacKay (formerly of Martinborough), John and William Parish, who had been occupying and improving the land, sent iu a declaration that they had not leased the laud from MacKay, nor had they informed the ranger to that effect, nor that the improvements they had made had been paid for by Mr Rain, MacKay's »gent. The transfer was sanctioned. The ranger reported in favor of disposing of tbeMbunt Bruce Reserve of two thousand acres, in three sections, It was decided to obtain information as to whether the land . ,can be dealt with or if the Reserve ■Art needed for climatic or other purposes,
