SIMMS & MOWLEM'S STOCK SALE REPORT.
Messrs Simras and Mowlem held their usual fortnightly stock sale in the yards. Queen-street, yesterday, and in spito of a continuous southerly raiu, every line advertised put in an appearance. The attendance of buyers was much larger than anticipated, and bidding for stock of all classes keen and spirited throughout for- decent lines, and nearly all lines changed hands before closing the day's proceedings at tho following i prices Pat wethers, 13s to Ms od; fat ewes, 9s Gd to 0s !)d; hoggets, mixed, (late shorn), 6s 7d to 7s; dry owes, 8s; ewes and lambs, 9j. Cattle— springingheifers, yearlings, 27s to 31s, 2 years old, £3lss to £5; dairy cows, springing, £i to £slos; steers and heifers, £2 12s to £3; weaner pigs, 7s to 10s (in good demand); private sales effected during the week—2s dairy cows in one line at £5 ss.
