MEETING OF EXCELSIOR ■[ CLUB. [By Mid-wicket,] The seventh annual meeting of the Excelsior Cricket Club was held in Commercial Room of the Prince - of Wales Hotel, last evenin/;, about a dozen members being present and Mr W, Johnston in the chair, Tho annual report and balance sheet was had and adopted, showing >. the Club to hays had a voiy successful season last year, and after considerable expenditure acredit balance i hasfceon left to commence the year The olection of officers resulted as follows President: Mr J. Wickens, (re-olootcd); Vice-presidents: Messrs J, William? and G. S. W, Dalrymplo (re-elected), and Messrs J.L.Muiray, 6, Dennis, W. Redmond, S. Johnston, E.M.D, Whatman, J, TnokerJ \ ; .. .R; Mtiltby, and Dr. W, Butement! - ; Captain: Mr E. Harland ; Vicecaptain: Mr W. Johnston; Secretary and Treasurer: Mric.Nicol; ■ . (all re-elected), Match Committee:
Mom W. Johnston, H. Baggo and A, Bonnott. It was docided to alter tho Club colours to light and dark bluo. Messrs W. Johuston, G. Green, and A, Bennett, wore elected delegates to arrango matters for tho Club in connection with tho proposod Wairarapa Cricketers' Association. It wns decided to arrange for tho first practice boing held on September 26th. It was also decided to let tho Club subscription stand as last season at 3s and 5s respectively for junior and senior members. Twelve new members were elected. Tho Club received tho promise of a gold medal for tho best all-round player during tho season, for which generous offer it hearty voto of thanks was recorded. The usual votes of thanks terminated the meeting,
