SPRING DISPLAYS.

THE W.F.C.A. The drapery department of the W.F.C.A. was tho centre of attrac- ! tion at Mastorton last evening, when the new spring and summer goods, just landed from tho Home markets, wero displayed to thcirfullcstadvantage. In every department there is, of course, some useful and attractive . novelty, and this year the firm's i buyer has evidently excelled himself i in the selection made. The Manchester Department is well stocked | with prints, drills, drillottos, cam- , brics, sateens, and crepons in endloss i variety and in every hue, besides i tho latest novelties in figured nain--1 sooks, matt shirtings, and crepe 1 fancies, and we are informed thatall ■ these are to be supplied at prices | hitherto unheard of in Mastorton. [ In dress goods there are some very ! choice lines in the new coatings, and ! coating sorges, tenuis cloths, etc., while the stock of silks include [ specialties in pongeo and moire. ■ The stock of capes include somo of ; the latest styles. Jet is apparently • the fashionable trimming, and in this the stock is well appointed, for 1 there is a large display. Tho show-rooiu for hats, millinery, and blouses camo in for a lot of attention from the ladies, the whole making a most charming display. Tho Furnishing Department has received attention, and there are shown some fine cretonnes in new patterns and colors, and some pretty things in rugs. In the Clothing and Mercery Department gentlemen will also find an assortment which will be hard to beat in any town in New Zealand. Mr. J. L. MURRAY'S DISPLAY. Tho windows of Mr J. L. Murray's shop, in Queen-street, wore seen last night at their best, and displayed excellent taste in the dressing. The goods shown were men's, youths' and boys' garments, in great variety, and evidencing vory careful selection for the Spring and Summer soason. The tennis and cricketing garments, underclothing, etc., are really choice; indeed, the reputation Mr Murray has gained has travelled i far and wide, and it is ovidont he means to sustain it.
