McDavitt, solicitor, who has beon arrested on a charge of working up DvidciiCD in favour of three clients with a view to misleading the Bankruptcy Court atHawera, has beon remanded for medical examination. James Day, formerly well known in racing circles along tho West Coast of this Island, died in tho Hospital last night. He had taken chloroform while having a tooth extracted and died from tho ofl'ectß.
