NORTH WAIRARAPA RIFLE CLUB.
A Committee meeting of the abovo Club was held on Saturday evening at Mr J. Williams' rooms, Mr W. J. Welch (Capt) in the chair. It was decided that the practice days be Thursday and Saturday afternoons, to start on Saturday the 28th, at 1.30 p.m. sharp, not less than four competitors to be present. Messrs 0. Wilton, D. J. Cameron, A. Matthews, D. McLachlan, and W. J. Welch were appointed a committee to handicap for the season, tho handicap committee to fix the ranges for all shooting. Messrs D. J. Cameron, W. J. Welch, R. Kibblewhite, A. Matthews, C. Hoiens, and E, Welch were appointed a Committee to canvas for prizes. APOLOGY. Dear Sir—We have recently made a statement regarding our Cavour Cigars, (whioh are now sold ovorywhero at eight for Is 3>) lo which objection has been taken' W said 'hit the smohr received at, say, 2d each, a oinar equal in qualitj to the bos 3d srooka. We now relvaot, as the expressed opinion of good judges has satisfied iw that Cavours compare favourably with many cigars sold at 6d, and they are certainly bote than any 3d artiole obtainable.— Yours, die, J.
