THE FRANCES ROSS COMPANY.

—. —-♦ As before announced, this talented Company will open in Mastorton ou Wednesday evening next, Their first production will be Dion Boucicanlt's celebrated Irish drama, "Arrah na Pogue." It is needless [for us to give a description of this play, as most of our readers wilj have a remembrance of so celebrated a piece. Miss Frances Ross takes the part of the light-hearted colleen, "Arrah" (Arrnh-na-Pogue), and us she throws into her rendering of the part, all the brightness and dash of a really talented actress, sho fairly captivates the audience from start to finish. Mr George Melville, as "Shaun" (Tho Post), fairly revels in a part which he is eminently suited to, and which he has played many times over in all the Australian Colonics. Miss Marion Medway, as "Fanny Powor," noods uo comment, as our readers may depend on a perfect rendering of tho part from this sterling little actress. Mr Hans Phillips fills tho part of "Colonel O'Grady," maperfoctmaiinor; whilo Mr Charles Blako takes the part of Michael Feeney. All the other characters are wellandsuitably filled, and as it is a long time since Masterton has been visited by such a good all round Company of really sterling artistes, the play-going public may look forward to a treat. On Thursday they stage" Lost in London," and during their season of four nights will play " Caste" one of their strongest pieces, and also another drama. Everything will bo put on in a style unusual t,o Masterton, and the Company will bring with thorn their own sconery, so we confidently lookforward to big houses at every performance.
