FEATHERSTON TOWN BOARD.
1 From Our Own Correspondent, Tuesday. The usual monthly meeting of the Town Board was held last evening, ' the following commissioners being present '.—Messrs Jas. Donald (chairman), J. G. Cox, C.'Candy, W. Benton, W. Nicols, and W. Hodder jr. Tho minutes of the previous meeting were read and conlhmcd. The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £2513s lOd. Accounts amounting to £lßl6s 7d were passed for payment. The receipts for the evening were: impounding fees, 10s; dog registration fees, 7s 6d. 4 A letter was received from Mr J, W. Card, solicitor, asking for a share of the Board's legal business,-It was resolved that Mr Card's application should not be forgotten when occasion arises, c The roadman reported having put jHhvn sixty-four loads of patching. was resolved to put up the firebell forthwith, and the matter was left in the hands of the Chairman and Mr Benton. » It was resolved to move tho shed on the cricket ground, to a better Bite, and to try and improve its general appearance'; also, that the frames about tho trees in tho town, should bo removed and tho trees trimmed up. Some minor business having been transacted, the meeting then closed,
