The Legislatiye Council by 19 to 13, suspended the Standing Orders this morning, so as to enable the Bank Bill to pass through all its stages at one sitting. I Through the courtesy of Sir Maurice O'Ronrke, the Masterton School footballers, under the guid ance of Messrs Jackson and Darroch, and escorted by Mr A, W. Hogg, M.H.R., inspected the House of Representatives and Parliamentary Library. They were made acquainted with all the mysteries and processes of taking votes and divisions; the division bells; locking the doors j and the various galleries were described. In the lobbies they were astonished with tho easy method of turning on and off the electric lights, and delighted with tho scenory of the Colony, represented in photos and oil paintings. Among the curiosities inspected were the death warrants of Queen Mary and King Charles the First, and the' Magna Charta, together with a portrait of Mr Renall, as he appeared in Parliament at Auckland, thirty-four yenvs ago.
The Hon. Mr Slirimski took them into tho Legislative Council, and they had the pleasure of seeing" our Lords" assembling at the oponing of the .Council, and hearing Sir Patrick Buekloy introducing the Banking Bill in an able speech and witnessing'a division, Mr • ■ Hogg afterwai'ds placed several of them in communication by telephone with Mr Edwin Arnold, the famous basket makor aud perambulator man of Willis-street, and they had a lively conversation with that gentleman and his shop-assist-ant, Miss Brace, Somo of the little follows—though advised to talk quietly—persisted in shouting,,and being hold up by the shoulders, their peals of laughter reverberated along the wires,
They afterwards visited and inspected the Telephone Exchange, and beforo parting with Mr Hogg, for whom they gave tlireo cheers, they warmly acknowledged the courtesy they had receivod from the members of the legislature, to whom they wero introduced. They dine at the Trocadero,inspect tho electric lighting works, and return home this afternoon,
