The second run with the Wairarapa hounds took place yesterday, over the properties of Messrs Avery Bros., Hall, Prcbble, and Sullivan. About twenty followed, and the run was followed by hundreds of spectators,\Tho manifested great interest I in the event.
Last night a smoke concert was held in the Commercial Hotel, and | was largely attended. An association football match was played here yesterday between Woodville and Tutaekara teams resulting in a win for "Woodville by two goals to one, A public meeting takes placo this evening to urge on the Government the desirableness of opening the portion of the Kketalmna-Woodvillo railway line already completed and completing the remainder with all possible despatch.
