The Rev. J. Dukes preached in the Wesleyan. Church last evening, to. a good congregation. Mr A. Pybus preached in the morning. The Presbyterian Christian' Endeavour Class held a Social in the Church last Yfcdnesday evening, a most pleasant and enjoyable time being spent, Special hymns were sung and prayer offered up during the evening. Misses Hall andHbrnblow rendered a daefc j a paper on the " Humility of Christ " was read by Mrs Stanton ; Mrs Jameson's letterpuper " Why Ijo chariot wheels Clog," was read by the Rev. Cfaas. Murray j and Mrs Shearer gave* solo. Refreshments were banded round and the Benediction closed quite an enjoyable evening.
