NORTH WAIRARAPA RIFLE CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual general meeting of tlio above Club was held at Mr J. Williams rooms on Saturday evening, Mr W. J. Welch (capt.) in the clmir. The minutes ol! the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Balance Sheet for the past year was read and adopted, The Club, after paying all expenses, has a good credit balance in hand. The following ollicers were elected for the ensuing year Patron, Mr A, Matthews; President-Mr Hugh J. Williams ; Vice - PresidentsMessrs J. llessey, Wyvern Williams, V. Wardell, L. Casclberg and A. A. Elkius; Captain -Mr W. J. Welch (re-elected); Secretary and Treasurer —lll- J. Williams (re-elected); Gun Committee Messrs C. llotliens, H. Holfeins, R. Kibbluwliite, W, Cole, E. Welch, Jl\ Kuinmer, I). McLacldaii, T. A, Udlin: three to {ormat[iiorum; dolegatesto W.lt.A., Messrs W. J. Welch, A. Matthews, J. Williams.
The opening of the season will be held at Lansdowno range on Thursday, 12th September next. A " Working Bee" will be held on Thursday, sth September, for clearing trench, mending targets, etc. Prizes arc to be collected for opening day, and the following were appointed to handicap for tlio opening of the season Messrs W. J. Welch (capt), A. Matthews and R. Kibblewhite.
The shooting to start at 10 a.m ranges, 200 yds, 300 yds and 500 yds. A vote of thanks to tlio chair ter minated the meeting.
