Wood held his usual fortnightly stock sale at the Taratahi yards yesterday aud reports of the same as .followsA considerable quantity of stock of all classes camo forward, buttlie attendance of buyers ■) was not quite so large as usual. Bidding was fairly spirited, and most lines were quitted under the hammer, Sheep have an upward tendency, cattlo maintain last sale rates. Prices realised were as under: —Sheep: Fat wethers 10s fid to 12s 3d; do ewes 8s lid to 9s 6d; store wethers 8s lid ; breeding ewes 3s 6d to as 9d, Cattle: calves 14s; 18 months heifers 345; dairy 8s £4 to £6 6s; store cows 25s to Horses: 2 Tattler colts were , ono at £lO 10s, the other at £13155. A lino of 12 fat bullocks wero passed in at£7lss.

At the Pahiatua stocksalo held on j Tuesday, July 80th, the yartln were ! I ultimately sold all yarded, A except some eight or nine backward calves. Tho following price# wore realised: —Dairy cows, near calving, •£i 6b to £5 ss; late in calving, £3 jl7s 6d to £4 os; dairy heifers, good (quality, SA to £4 ss; second-class, •£3 2s 6d to £3l7s 6d; fat heifers, '£s; aged cows, £2l7s 6d to £3; ;15-month steers, £2 2s. I On Saturday, at the produce sale, the demand was very slack, and A* were only made at reduced pfices. I have several inquiries for poultry and good lambs.
