A "rep" practice will be ' ' held at Carterton, on the 17th. The laurels at present rest with the i Wairarapa, having won two matches ' out of three. South Island match and the proposal to play it at Ohristchureh on i {he 22nd inst. The Otago Union has resolved that no date earlier than the 21st September would suit for a match between the North and Southlands, and that the date would only be * suitable on the assumption that the match was played in tho South Island.
