CuiiISTCHUKCH, AllgUSt 4. 1 Truth, against which the Commissioner ,of tho Government Life Insurance Department instituted proceedings for the recovery of damages in respect of certain statements regarding the securities in the department, apologised for those statements in its issue last night, and also for allegations concerning the Public Trust and Post Office Savings Banks securities.
