< MASTERTON-FRIUAr. [Before Mr, T. Hutchison, S.M] ASSAULT.
fhos.WrigleyandGcorgeßeumelberg wore charged with assaulting each other on Sunday, the UthJuly last.
Both accused pleaded guilty and His Worship imposed a line of 40s, and costs of Court Us in each case. Accused were allowed one week to pay lines, or in default one week's imprisonment. His Worship stated that accused havingfought onprivato ground, saved themselves from being sent to the' Supreme Court. JIAIiSTESAX'OE. Wm. WatorsoH was charged, on the information of tho police, with failing to provide for one Henry Walbridge, a destitute person. Mr Beard, for defendant, said that he did not desire to raise any technical objection, but tbero was really no relationship existing between tho parties. This was a bar to any proceedings against bis client, His Worship said that Mrs Waterson not being Walbridge's daughter or any rolation, be could not make any order. The information was dismissed,
