A New Caledonian convict named Picrcourt, eiupltyed on Jladamo Fracott's station, having been discharged for some offence, procured somo dynamite cartridges and placed thorn in tho lady's hed, when she was asleep, Her body was blown to fragments and her daughter, soven years' old, was soriously injured. Piercourt afterwards committed suicide by blowing bis own lioad to pieces with another cartridge.
