Recckal, July 27,10.30 a.m. Sydney, July 27, Letters from tho Bismarck Archipelago, give particulars of another horrible massacre at the Islands. Tho victims were a boat's crow of Natives in tho employ of a German trader of Nusa, New Irolaud. Earlyf in April, whilst away with the' trader's boat, the Natives wero captured by bush tribes and butchered, some of tho bodies beiiifl taken to the high-lands for a cannibalistic feast. .
About. His sfiiiic time, Captain •Bruno and tho Native crew of tho schooner Suga, Imtl a narrow escapo. Tho vessel was labour recruiting in Now Hanover, and while the boats were away, the Natives came off and made a determined effort to murder those left on board, and also to capture tho vessel. They actually rushed tho Captain and men, but foi'tuuatoly tho former managed to secure his Winchester rille, with which ho cleared the Natives off, otherwise all mast have fallen victims.
