D, CREWE'S WKKKLY REPORT.

On Monday, tho 15th July, I held A clearing sale at Mr T, Hughes', Pahiatua. Tho lines consisted of household furniture, effects, farm produce and poultry. There was a good attendance of the public. Bidding for most of the lots was spitited, which resulted in eyery line being sold at fair values. The poultry was specially competed for ' At my Pahiatua stock sale, which was held on Tuesday, July 16th, some of the lines of young cattle advertised did nqt cpme forward,but was made up by other dairy stock being yarded. There was a good attendance of tho public. The bidding throughout wiis brisk,espeoially for some of the springing cows, which were of exceptionally good quality. A total clearance of the yard was made under tho hammer, except two cows, Tho following prices were realised Good dairy cows, springing, £5 5s to £6 2s Gd; dairy cows, spring calving, £3 17s Gd to £-112s (id; young heifers, £2 las; 18-month steers, £2s 3s Gd; calves, 10s; pigs, slips, 4s 9d, On Saturday, the 20th, I held my usual weekly produce salo at the Mart. The demand was slack throughout, which resulted in very little changing hands. A large consignment of fruit trees and ornamental shrubs came forward, which met with keen competition, every line being sold under the hammer at fully 20 per cent, abovo last tree sale prices. I have enquiries for good lambs, quiet dairy cows, and poultry. My next horse'sale takes pluce oji Saturday, 29th, for which I iuq now receiving entries.
