Messrs Lowes and lorns report at their sale yesterday Stock yarded j were far in excess of advertised list, jnnd the quality mostly first-class, i At the commencement of the sale, I purchasers were cautious and several j lots were passed in, but as the sale [progressed, bidding improved and j with the exception of two lines upon ' which too high reserves were placed, all sold at good iiguros. Of a large entry in cattle, two pons were unsold; the want of condition and the scarcity of grass keptpricesdowu. Beef was lepresented by fat steers, which made good market value, Dairy stock was plentiful, but only good sorts, near to profit sold.
