A POLICEMAN IN TROUBLE.
By TthgrnpL-ftcss Association. Ddnedin, Tuesday. Constable William Dayis was lined 50s aud costs, to-day, on a charge of assaulting a woman. ': Five citizens, who were staudag outside the Club, swore they sair Davis kick the woman very severely before arresting her. The constable's explanation was, that as be was going home in plain clothes, with fruit under one arm, the woman caught hold of him, and as he had his hand full, he slowed round and struck her on the hip, with his knee, to make her let go.
