WAIRARAPA NORTH COUNTY COUNCIL.
FINANCE COMMITTEE. The meeting of the Finance Committee was held this morning. Present—Crs Maunsoll (chairman), E. Smith, and F. von Reden, treasurer's report. The Treasurer reported as follows; —General fund account dr., £2941; L.B.L. account cr,,. £2163; net debit, £778 Is. The receipts since 13th June amounted to £lo34l7s9d,iucluding: —Rates, £565 12s 9d; license fees, £222; remittance from Pahiatna County Council to supplement Pah and Mangaone Valley Road, Tho balance sheet, duly audited, was laid before the Committee. MR, sheath's CLAIM, The Committee declined to recommend the payment of the claim for expenses of Mr F. A. Sheath, as at the time he was not a member of tho Licensing Committee. ACCOUNTS, The accounts and pay-shoot amount ing to £42s 10s were recommended for payment. EKETAIINKA-TINUI ROAD. It was ro,solved to recommend the Council to anticipate the current year's revenue to the extent cf £SO, for the purpose of clearing slips from the boundary of the Eketahuua Riding to Dnnderdalo's saddle. ROTOI'ANGO ROAU. Resolved that Mr Simpson's claim for 18 Ss, for bushfelling on tlio Uotopango Road, be paid out of thirds, as soon as the money is received from the Government. The Committee decided that they could not recommend the application of roadman Crisp, for an allowance in lieu of wages.
