QUARTERLY meeting,
The ordinary quarterly meeting of tho Masterton Cemetery Trustees was held last evening. PresentMessrs R Feist, C. E. Daniell, and Walter Perry, The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. i
The Tr (insurer reported a credit ftlanco at the Bank of £3414s 7d. A letter was received from the /olonial Secretary covering the rarraut for the removal of the omains of the late Mr W. L. jucena, for reinterment in the Feaherston Cemeteiy, Tho Chairman stated tlmt tin 'emoval had already taken place. From Mr A. P. Ikwson, statin; liafc lie had made the measurement; if certain burial sections and market ame on plans. He also asked to bi ippointed to perform the worl it £2 2s per annum, which ho under itood had been arranged to be paii :o his brother, tho late Jfr A. J Rawson. Iho letter was held over. Accounts amounting to .£8 14s 8t ivere passed for payment. Messrs Feist and Hourigan wer ippointed a Works Committee fo ;he ensuing quarter. Mr C. E, Doniell gave notice thai it next meeting ho would movf certain footpaths forming
divisions from east to west, and between the various sections, be moved so as to form right angles." The Secretary pointed out the difficulty in collecting foes, especially from those outside of Masterton, and lie asked whether the Trustees would authorise him to announce that all fees must be paid before breaking ground, The Trustees considered that the Secretary had power to enforce payment.
