Sir, —Be the ''Bookewood " apple, from the remarks on' the above variety, your readers \ypjjld think it a novelty just introduced to the District, but as a matter of fact, this is not the case. By referring to my trades list, printed and distributed by the Daily Times, it will be seen that I have offered the" Rookewood" for sale for. three years past, first as a novelty, and now include it in the j general pollution, It iB decidedly

Mr L. F, Ayson informs us that under present conditions, the quantity of fish ova to be collected this season will quito equal"if not exceed—the excellent record made at the Mnstcrton hatcheries last year.
